Hi, there! I’m Fr. Nik

I am a photographer and a Catholic priest living in Portland, Oregon. Whether exploring the wild Pacific Northwest, the storied North Georgia Mountains, the plains of the Midwest, or wherever my ministry takes me, I always have a camera in my hand.

Photography has marked my life for more than a decade. I am drawn to place, belonging, memory, and the ache that beauty leaves behind. The feeling a landscape gives you that something real and good is present, just at the edge of what you can hold.

For me, photography is the art of learning to see: to stop, to be still, and to notice what is already there. The camera has taught me as much about paying attention as anything else in my life.

My faith and priesthood always inform this work. I believe it is the duty of every creative to share the beauty of the world they experience, and these images are my attempt to do just that.

I'm grateful you're here. These images invite you to pause and see the world around you a little differently.
